Travel-World Photography
We arrived in Iguaçu by a long bus trip from Buenos Aires, and stayed at the Brazilian side of the Iguaçu Falls. The falls are somewhat different on the two sides of the border, thus the pictures are in separate folders, sorted by country.
The Iguaçu Falls are fed from the Rio Paraná, where the source of all the water is the Mato Grosso in the he Pantanal district in Brazil, the worlds largest wetlands.
The Iguaçu Falls are the worlds most impressive water falls, both due to the magnitude of the water, and the number and width of the individual falls. Secondly, a geological feature with a step in the terrain, make almost all falls to spray twice.
At the end of a day, we took a - very wet - trip in a RIB to go very close to the falls on the river below.
Close to the Iguaçu Falls is the Itaipu Power Station, also with its enormous amounts of water that comes from Rio Paraguay (see separate folder).
