Personal Note:
There are several facts that connect me with the US: My father was born in Ashland, Wisconsin in 1899, and he wen back to Michigan after WW2. My wife Sonja worked for the Norwegian Embassy in Wash DC for 2 1/2 years. We moved as a family with two small children til California and stayed there for 6 years. I then worked for a large international company as an electronic engineer. We then moved back to Norway, including our third child. Thereafter, I traveled substantially to the US a part of my job. Later on, our daughter lived in Seattle for two years, doing postdoc work in biochemistry at the University. Our oldest son got a MSc in electronic engineering from University in Santa Barbara, and our youngest son went to High School in Spokane, Washington.
