Tuijana is the second largest city in Mexico, with about 2 million inhabitants. In addition to its normal business base, it has a big tourist industry due to the proximity to the USA. It serves as an entry point into the US for farmworkers during the seasons.
Tuijana is located 32 km south of San Diego, just on the Mexican border side. Access is through a strictly guarded entrance. As with any other border town, the main business seems to be catering to tourists.
