Puerto Montt

Porto Montt is 1200 km South of Valparaiso, and is one of the major ports on the Chilean West coast. In particular, it gained importance when Chile bacame the second largest producer of farmed salmon in the world.

As a cruise tourist, the interest was mainly to visit the Calbuco volcano.
