Another day we drove across the mountain to Sao Vicente and took the road to the east. The coastline is very steep, and the road narrow with few places to meet. But this was during the Christmas season, so there were few tourists and cars on the road.
We stopped at the town of Santana, which has buildings with A-frame design with straw roofs, and characteristic round houses for that particular place.
