The vegetation in part of Madeira is very lush. The Madeira Botanical Garden is lactated up in the hills a little above Funchal City. It contains several really fascinating plants and cacti we have never seen elsewhere, and is well Worth a visit.
The Monte Palace Tropical Garden is located not far away, is a serene place away from the bustle of the city.
