The tour group was taken by bus across the border to the South, after the tour guid had collected the passports and handed them over at the check point.
The first stop was the town of Lefkara up in the hills of Southern Cyprus, know for the making of lace products. The town is very picturesque, and old woman sat on street corners making lace (surely for the benefit of the tourist, and to generate business). Anyway, they made some very nice lace an embroidery.
