Jerusalem and Bethlehem

Jerusalem at an elevation of 750 m asl, has a population of about 125 000 inhabitants, and with about 980 000 in the greater metropolitan area. 

 

Bethlehem is located 10 km south of Jerusalem in the Israeli-occupied West Bank of the State of Palestine

 

The Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem lies at the heart of Jerusalem's Old City on a hill named the Temple Mount. The Muslims regard the site as the third holiest in Islam, after Mecca and Medina. The Jews also lay claim to the same site. Every day orthodox Jews come to the prey at the Wailing Wall.
