Hot air balloon trips is a big business in Cappadocia. Some times over 100 balloons are up at the same time.
The balloons go up at sunrise, because that is the time of day when the air is very still, permitting slow drifts over the fabulous landscape. The balloons are first partially filled with air, then propane burners do the rest. One basket may hold up 15-20 persons.
