Venezia does not have any streets to speak. The exception is an area around the railway station on the north-western side of the city.
The main canal Canal Grande has quite heavy boat traffic, and there are may smaller canals criss-cross the city. And of course, there were many condolas that took tourists, as well as people living in the city.
On day we took a boat trip in order to see the many old buildings along the way.
