My company doctor was a Jew from Budapest. We were invited into their apartment there, as well as to a real Budapest cafe, being served Appfel torten.
Thereafter, we were shown the Jewish synagogue, which were closed due to security reasons at the time. We also visited a memorial consisteing of a tree with silver leaves, in memory of the Jews from Budapest the lost their lived during WW2. The memorial had been donated by the actor Tony Curtis.
