We went on a trip to the Balkans in November 2017, and one day we travelled by bus to Mostar in Bosnia/Herzegovina. We left in the dark hour of the morning, and had a long bus trip across the mountains to Mostar.
The notable features we had time to visit was the Mostar Peace Bell Tower at 107 m, and the famous Mostar (Stari Most) Bridge, that was demolished in the Balkan war in November 1993. The bridge has since then been rebuilt to its previous splendour. The Mostar Peace Tower was copleted in year 2000.
We also visited the lodgings of the old Emir of Mostar, those being located next to the Mehmed-Pasina Mosque built in 1617.
