The city of Beijing was establish in 2045 BC, and has grown to a population of about 22 million (only Shanghai is larger). It is the capital of China, and houses some of the worlds largest corporations. Beijing is both modern, and ancient at the same time, with modern high-rise building and utter poverty in the hutongs in the back streets.
