Armacao de Pera
Armacao de Pera is the fishing village of the town Pera, located a few kilometer inland. Fisheries are still an important way of living, in spite of the fact that there is no habour whatsoever. The fishing boats are pushed through the surf by a tractor, and pulled back on land by means of a steel cable.
The city has about 4000 permanent residents. In the early 80ies, a large number of apartment buildings were built, and during the summer season maybe 15-20 000 people are visting - for very good reasons: Fabulous beaches and a relaxed life.
